Dear Someday is built for private family memories. We collect and use information only as needed to create, store, manage, share, support, and export your private scrapbook.
Information We Collect
- Account information, such as your email address, authentication provider, and user identifier.
- Family and scrapbook details you enter, including child names, birthdays, speaker names, captions, notes, and story text.
- Media you choose to add, including compressed scrapbook photos, thumbnails, profile photos, and voice recordings.
- Subscription and entitlement status used to unlock paid features and manage access.
- Support messages you send to us, including your contact details and the content of the message.

How We Use Information
We use information to operate Dear Someday, save and display your memories, sync your scrapbook, process uploads, provide passcode-protected scrapbook links you request, send app-related emails, manage subscriptions, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, and keep the app reliable.
Photos, Voice Recordings, And Child Information
Dear Someday stores the family content you choose to add. The app is intended for parents and guardians to create private keepsakes. Children do not create their own login accounts in the Keepsake plan.
Private Sharing And Exports
When you request an export or family scrapbook link, Dear Someday may create a private hosted link that can be protected by a passcode you choose. Anyone you share the link and passcode with may be able to view the shared scrapbook page until the link expires or is otherwise disabled.
Service Providers
We use trusted providers to run the app, including:
- Supabase for authentication, database, and backend functions.
- Cloudflare R2 and Workers for private media storage and secure media access.
- RevenueCat and Apple for subscription status and purchase management.
- Resend for transactional email delivery.
- Sentry for crash reporting and diagnostics.
- Vercel for hosting this legal and support site.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not create public scrapbook profiles or a public social feed.
- We do not use your private family content for advertising.
Your Choices
You can request access to your scrapbook data, request an export, ask us to correct information, or request account deletion. Visit Data Export or Account Deletion for details.
Data Retention
We keep account and scrapbook information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you request deletion, we delete or de-identify account data according to our operational deletion process, except where we need to retain limited information for legal, security, billing, or abuse-prevention reasons.
Security
We use access controls, signed upload flows, private media storage, and authentication checks to help protect your scrapbook. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so please share private links and passcodes carefully.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as Dear Someday changes. The latest version will always be posted on this page with the updated date above.
